Entrepreneurship Development Club (EDC) of St. Kuriakose College of Management and Science, is a platform for the students to develop and foster their entrepreneurship skills. It is a joint venture associated with Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Kerala. The club is committed to promote entrepreneurial skills among students by conducting various hands-on training, workshops, seminars, discussions, experience sharing with the leading successful business entrepreneurs and conducting industrial visits. It also aims to create a partnership between leading business/ industrial establishments and larger student community in creating entrepreneurial culture.

Ragging in all forms is a criminal offence and earnest efforts are being taken from all corners on curbing the menace of ragging by prohibiting, preventing and eliminating the scourge of ragging. Following the ‘Prohibition and Eradication of Ragging Act, 2019, an Anti-Ragging Committee and an Anti-Ragging Squad have been formed in SKCMS.

According to Gandhiji, ‘Knowledge without character’ is a deadly sin. An Ethics Committee has been constituted in the College as per the govt. order (RT) No 346/05/H. Edn. dt. 01-03-2005 in compliance with the regulations of the Government/University to curb indiscipline on the campus. The Committee is committed to nurture the moral and ethical values in students and helping them to become healthy citizens of the Nation. The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in SKCMS is formed as per the guidelines of the Supreme Court, UGC Sexual Harassment of women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and UGC (prevention, prohibition and redressal) of sexual harassment of women employees and students in HEI Regulations, 2015. The committee is committed to ensure the protection and well-being of girls and women staff and receives complaints on sexual harassment in the College from an aggrieved girl or woman staff member, as well as to inquire into and make recommendations to the Management on the action required pursuant to its inquiry of such complaint.

National Service Scheme (NSS), conceived by the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of India and launched in 1969 is an academic extension programme envisioned to bring our academic institutions closer to the society. The Scheme with the motto ‘not me but you’ is an educational programme for personality development of the students through community service. The activities of National Service Scheme will provide a platform for the volunteers to achieve their competencies in skill and attitude, besides enhancing their cognitive capacity. NSS gives an extended dimension to the Higher Education system and expose the students to the idea of ‘Service Learning’ through community service while they are studying in the College. The activities of NSS are envisaged to create a social consciousness among students, by establishing a meaningful linkage between the campus and the community. The cardinal principle of the programme is that it is organised by the students themselves and both students and teachers through their combined participation in social service, take part in the noble task of nation building. The NSS Unit of SKCMS (UNIT NO: SFU 13) functions in accordance with the above principles.

Films have become one of the most effective and powerful media of communication used more
than ever before thanks to the advancement of modern technology. The film club of SKCMS
creates opportunities for students and staff to familiarize different genres of films and to discuss
the poetics and politics of the movies. The club helps the students to kindle their
cinematographic interests by encouraging them to do projects, attend workshops, seminars
webinars etc. The Cell also attempts to nurture the students’ creative skills in screenplay writing,
shooting, acting, editing, and direction and provides opportunities to make short films. There is

The Anti Narcotics Cell of the college has been established for curbing drug trafficking and use of illegal substances inside the campus. An effective vigilant committee has been constituted in order to execute the functions of the cell and also to impart an awareness campaign against use of drugs in the campus.
